Videomaker – Learn video production and editing, camera reviews › Forums › General › Video and Film Discussion › Newbie
I am starting out and would like to know a few excellant books on video production. I will be using Pinnacle’s Liquid 6 for an editor. Was really impressed. My camera is a Canon GL-2 mini DV3.
If you want the book on general video production not just editing one of my top picks is Video Production For Dummies!. (I think that’s the title)
It covers all aspects of video production.

Hi,
I recommend the enormously useful, quite comprehensive, and FREE film-makers guide that Greg Pak has created on http://www.filmhelp.com. It is unique that a film-maker of his caliber took the time and trouble to create such a helpful resource for beginner and even advanced film-makers. Pak’s film, Robot Stories, is one the major successes in independent film-making over the past two years.

And another good one is Video 101.
