ParticipantWe launched our new web series The Vetala.
The Vetala is a supernatural thriller about a hostile, yet conflicted spirit from the pages of Sanskrit mythology, and the succession of people it travels through.

We filmed on a Canon XHA1 and color timed with Apple Color.
Cheers!

MemberNot bad. You guys made good use of existing environments for your sets. Some of the scenes where you were outdoors and in the cab were dark and would have benefited from a bounce card. Other than that, the tension was established early and your music choices/cuts maintained it. Nice job on your SFX. Did you use squibs or post effects for your gunshot wounds? Also, where the hell did you guys get all those guns?

ParticipantThanks. Our Co-producer owns a gun prop house, so needless to say we made use of that. We used squibs and small explosives for all the SFX in Ep 01.

ParticipantVery nice! I mean, speaking as an owner of an XHA1, it’s nice to see what it can do out of my hands! As a recently ex-Vancouverite it’s great to see the city from the camera view, great music, great story line and it’s enough of a tease that I’ll be keeping an eye out for more.

MemberSBanks,
You’re welcome. If it’s not too nosey a question; what budget range are you looking at per episode?

ParticipantThe producer’s might kill me for saying, however I will tell you that the episodes were shot all together over 12 days to save money, and there were a lot of FAVORS asked.
