I’d like some suggestions and help in securing material for impressive intros for music events like All-State Orchestra/Band/Chorus. Also, could you recommend some dynamic programs for titles.

You have many options – I have listed a few below.

      1) Digital Juice (http://www.digitaljuice.com) – They have great animated backgrounds which you can place text over for a nice effect. They also just introduceda new line of font products that will blow you away.

      2) I use little program (around $50) called Bluff Titler (http://www.outerspace-software.com/blufftitler.html) that is easy to use and very nice – Might be just what you wanted.

      3) I also have a program from WildForm called WildFX Pro which does some nice stuff (http://www.wildform.com/products/wildfx).

      4) I have not used it but have heard good things about a program called Heroglyph.

      5) You could also just get a bit creative with your NLE.

Forgot to mention – Another really great product (used by many tv stations in fact) is Zaxwerks Pro Animator – Not s simple or cheap program but worth it’s weight in gold.

You can see it here: http://www.zaxwerks.com

I don’t have it but will at some point.
