I just switchedfrom Windows to Mac and I have now realized that I can’t use any of my source MTS (AVCHD) footage files without first converting them to another format that is supported by Mac. So I found some different converters and am able to convert to usable file formats but the problem I am having is that the capture date and time are being lost in the conversion. The new dates in the files of the conversion dates. So, is there a way to preserve the capture date and time so my footage sorts properly?
Thanks!
Pat
Patrick, what editing program are you using? Premiere Pro works directly with MTS files, so you would not have to convert them, thus not losing any of your sorting information.
