Here’s the equipment:
Radio Shack 33-3018 Dynamic mic 1/4″ plug
Shure m688 mixer
standard VCR (2) for recording both video and audio
1/4″ to XLR adapter into mixer
XLR (out) to RCA plug Y adapter to both VCRs
miniDV camcorder
Here’ my situation. The video is fine. The audio is the problem. Using the mic described above, with the adapter-in to the mixer and the XLR adapter-out to RCA plug splitter to two VCRs, I have no punch for the audio. No gain. Do I need to add an amplifier between the mic and the mixer?
My wireless Azden mic works okay, but I don’t want to use it. Any suggestions?
First taping in a couple of days.
Please help.
