I know you have to pay royalties for using songs in a movie for selling, but I was wondering how you go about purchasing the right to use the song and how they calculate the cost of it. Do you contact the record company, the band, or some one else? Also I was wondering if you have to pay royalty fees for music in videos on a website that are for viewing and not for selling.
Thanks alot
