I just purchased an XL-1 and I’d like something else for rewinding and playback. I don’t want to spend a lot of money just something to keep the camera usage to a minimum. Thanks

Mini-DV VCR’s are rare and too expensive. I just bought a cheap Mini-DV Camcorder to use for production. I still have to use my good machine to convert VHS to Mini-DV or via IEEE1394 to my computer. I also bought an inexpensive rewinder at Ritz. It has forward and reverse. This is good if you have to go near the end of a tape.

I got mine at Ritz it is a “Lenmar – 2-way high speed forward-reverse rewinder for DV digital video cassettes” about $40.00 USD.

I’ve been looking for one as well. SONY makes one but it is $1299 and out of my price range.
