What does the word Lux mean?
Lux is a measure of light intensity. A camera lux rating refers to the minimum amount of light that will produce pictures. The lower the number the more sensitive the camera.
Thanks!
As I understand, there is not one standard for LUX ratings.
As an example Sony can advertise 4 lux, and Canon advertise 2 lux, but the 4 lux could be better then the 2 lux……..
Best bet is to read reviews for end users…….the larger the ccd chip, the better the camera will be in low light.
