In the upcoming weeks I hope to be filming the recording of an album by a band in the studio with a CANON GL2…I also will be shooting the band live at some events. As a relative “newbie” can anyone offer some “sound” strategies…For instance, should I use a TASCAM DR-07/ZOOM H2 for the studio scenes and live footage? I am on a very limited budget and any and all help is greatly appreciated
A bag of Zoom H2 units placed at the sweet spots would do wonders, inside or out. The Tascam should be sufficient for basic mixing or layering…
Thanks….should the area be layered with the TASCAM…which I’m leaning towards…or should a sweet spot in the hall be sufficient. Also, would the TASCAM be compatible with Final Cut for editing. Thanks for addressing these questions as I am in the learning process full force. Any recommendations on where to do research?
