ParticipantHi folks,
Newbie here with a few questions.
I’m looking to film myself talking in front of a white background and was wondering what I should use for lighting. Right now I have a Canon Vixia HF M30 and filming in my apartment is just horrible due to the low light.
Therefore I was thinking of getting a lighting kit. I was thinking of getting something like this:
along with a white background from Cowboy Studios as well. Is this overkill for my needs? The video will be for a sales page on a website for a product that I will be selling.
Basically I want to create something that looks almost exactly like the guy talking in this video at this site: http://www.doubleyourdating.com
Any feedback or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thank you.

ParticipantThis might help. Eric is really good and like many of us, does not have unlimited funds.

ParticipantI find it easy and quick to just shot over a kayable bknd then key em over white. I maintan full control over shadows, ect this way and never have to speand more than a couple of minutes lighting.
