I shot a sequence for our online how to series and while shooting didn’t realize the back lighting was wreaking havoc with my light metering on the camera. The stuff I show can’t be replicated. What can I do in Adobe Premier Pro CS4 to compensate for the light “whoptydoos”

My first thought is to go in and use a brightness contrast filter, but in the past I’ve noticed flickering when I’ve done this technique. Any Ideas?
