Lens Hood for Canon VIXIA HF20??

Hello, I am wondering if the following is compatible with the Canon Vixia HF20:

Will I need any special accessories to make it work with that lens hood? I’m really looking for a hood that will protect the lens, like a Hood with glass built in.

Looks like your camera can take 37mm filters so this should screw on just like a filter.
