I have the JVC GZ-MG360 and every time I put the videos on my computer they download as MOD files. Is there a way to make it record as mpeg-2 instead?
.MOD is simply the extensions for the filesthat your camcorder records, which is MPEG-2 (the basic encoding of DVDs). If your editing software supports the MPEG-2 format, you can import the files as usual.
If your editor has MPEG-2 support but doesn’t recognize the MOD extension, you can copy the files and change the extensions to .mpg or .mov.
hope this helps 🙂
