that some of Sony’s digital camera lens’ can also be used on their camcorders? Sneaky…
Specifically, I read that the VCL-DH1758 58mm High Grade 1.7X Telephoto Conversion Lens would fit at VX2100.
Can you confirm or deny this and does anyone have any info about this lens itself?
Beth
I can’t really add anything to what compusolver said (aside from a "right on!"), but he’s correct. Any 58mm lens will work on your camera. I’ve purchased a number of lens adapters at the local camera shop that were built for 35mm film, and I’ve never had any problems with them. The wide angle lenses, as Hank pointed out, might darken the edges, or just all out cut them off, but if you zoom in just a hair after you mount the lens adapter that will solve some of that (don’t zoom in too much or your wide angle lens might distort the picture). I’ve got a nice Canon wide angle adapter, and I’m very happy with it.
