I recently got offered a job where I would be serving as a camera operator on a week long production in Honduras. The production will pay for tranportation and lodging. I was wondering what I should charge for a daily rate. I’ll be using my own camera and other equipment. I was thinking between $500 and $700 per day, but I don’t know what to do exactly. When you travel out of the country, do you charge much more than usual?

      Any suggestions would be welcome.

I’d charge the same per day as you do when working in the USA. The only difference is that I’d charge a healthy per diem of about $200 to cover all your food, taxi and other unexpected expenses. If you don’t spend it, consider it a bonus.
