Great article but I feel I must make one minor comment since we’re talking a lot about timimg and exposure. While our power here in the USA is running at 60 Hz, each cycle has 2 peak voltages, one above zero and one below. This makes fluorescent lights flicker at a rate of 120 times a second, not the 60 times mentioned in the article. This may or may not have an effect on the timimg you choose for shutter speed on your camera. 😀
