I encounter intermittent problem with my camcorders Sony DCR-VX 2000 and Sony DCR-VX 2100:
The image on the monitor starts trembling(jerking) in horizontal direction. I feel slight vibration and humming in camera at the same time. It happens even if camera is stable on the tripod. Sometime it happens after shooting several hours, sometime when just started. The same image jerking on monitor is recorded on the tape. My technician has no idea about origin and overcoming this problem. He cleaned the tape tract but that did not help. I will greatly appreciate any input in helping resolve this problem. Thanks to everyone
Sounds like the tape heads or your tape head drum is loose and getting ready to check out on you. Send it back to the manufacturer for repair or replacement.
