I have a friend that is shooting a movie using a Sony AVCHD hard drive camcorder. The files are in .MOD format. He is using Adobe CS5 and can’t figure out how to import them into the Premier Pro library. I assumed that it was something similar to FCP where you have to covert it to Apple ProRes (But as you’ll see from one of my similar posts, I’m not sure how to do that either)
I was wondering what the process is to convert .MOD files from a Sony AVCHD Hard Drive camcorder to an Adobe Premier compatible format for easier editing.
The .MOD files are being natively edited in the software. Actually it is difficult to even import them.
Any info would be appreciated.
