I have a HDR-HC3 and am using sony vegas pro 8 to capture and render my videos… I am having trouble trying to get the software to reconize a video shot in hi definition…. I can get it to see the camera if I shoot regular DV, but If I shoot HDV then the software will not see the camera for capture…. I guess I also need halp with the settings of the camera also, I read the manual but it made no sense to me…. as I am new to this….
Any help would be great as I am going to be shooting a project pretty soon and would like to shoot it at 1080i rather than 720i…….
set your cam to HDV out, create a 1080i project, config via firewire and hit capture.
thanks I will try this and let you know if it works
