Hi, I’m an IT guy for a small video production firm. I have guys going out and doing interviews and what they bring hard drives with the footage. When I plug in the hard drive, I see 6-7 separate drives, and within each drive I can find (among other things) MXF files.

My editors have no problem accessing the media (they use AVID) but my question is, how does one backup such drives? Is there a specific way to do it? It’s not as simple as drag and drop because of all the separate partitions… Any ideas?
