Videomaker – Learn video production and editing, camera reviews › Forums › Technique › Editing › Help with Sony Vegas/Capture Quality
I’m very new to video editing and forums…so be gentle. I bought Vegas Movie Studio b/c of great reviews. I went through the motions to create a DVD from video from my JVC MiniDV camcorder.
Everything looks great…except the video quality. The video is very choppy and the quality is horrible. I have no idea how to increase the quality. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (i.e. should I use firewire cable instead of USB? is there a setting that i shoud adjust?) I’m so new and completely lost with video jargon.
Thanks so much!
Oh you’re using USB for capture? Horrible.
Get a Firewire card. Any firewire card; if you don’t have one already and capture using that. It’s the way digital video was designed to be captured.
