InactiveCan anyone advise if I can convert a .dv file to an .mpeg file?
I’m trying to use a number of .dv files ("clips") of a sports event of my son which were extracted from a digital video DV, convert them to .mpeg, and re-edit them to burn a new DV.
I have software to edit mpeg files.
Is there any shareware that will help with this conversion?
Thanks for any advice!

InactiveAVS Video Converter works great I use it almost everyday to convert dv captures to .mpeg for editing in Pinnacle Studio.
It also convert to… AVI (DivX, XviD, etc.), DV AVI, MP4 (inc. Sony PSP and Apple iPod), WMV, 3GP, 3G2, QuickTime (MOV, QT), SWF, DVD, VOB, VRO,MPG, MPEG 1,2,4, DAT, VCD, SVCD, ASF, ASX, MJPEG, H.263, H.264, Real Video (RM, RMVB), DVR-MS, MKV, OGM, FLV. and also allows you to edit before you convert.God Bless,

InactiveHi Min. Rick,
Thanks for the advice. I downloaded the AVS trial version and it works fine, but the trial version has a "watermark" on output.
It is a small project, but if I can’t find a freeware that will do the same thing, I’ll get the full AVS version.
In any case, many thanks, and God bless YOU!
Anyone out there know of a freeware version to comnvert .dv to .mpeg?
