I have been using my old Sony Hi-8 (analog) camcorder but want to get into digital. I have narrowed it down to the Panasonic PV-GS400 or the Panasonic AG-DVC30. I like the low light capability of the 30, but like the low weight and size of the 400. My question is, does the features and quality of the video of the 30 justify the larger size? I am not as concered on the price difference, only the size. Also, why do the new digital camcorders seem to require more light? My old Sony worked down to 2 lux.
