whats up… I just got me a Canon XL-1s and to tell you the truth I’m not that of a wizard with it.. and i wanted to know if I may get some help.. what do i need to buy to get a microphone to connect to the Camera?? I’ll be doing Interviews… I need somthing that isn’t very on $$$$
I use the Audio-Technica PRO-88W Wireless System with the Audio-Technica AUCP8306 CP8306 Adapter Cable for Pro 88 W Wireless System XLR conversion cable. I also use the Audio-Technica AT897 – Shotgun Microphone. These mic’s wasn’t as expensive as others I had researched, but really produces a great sound. 😀 Of course ensure that you purchase a wind-screen for the shot-gun mic if you plan to shoot outside. (!)
Good Luck!!!
Ok you need to get a MA100 XlR adapter thats made specificaly for that camera it has a place for it to bolt right on. It takes the place of the stock shoulder pad and has its own shoulder pad on it.
