hi i just got the canon gl2. When i transfer to my computer using firewire the video quality is very poor. it looks very low res and like its been posted on youtube. i had to use windows movie maker( i know it aint the best option but my premier pc is in the shop) i dont know if this could be the problem. im very new to the video scene. ive done mostly visual effects and am not used to dealing with raw footage. any help would be awsome.
Thanks
Adam, most computer editing systems show a lower quality image. This is done to save your processing power for your editing. If you output your finished project to tape, the quaity should be as good as the original footage. Of course, you will probably output to DVD, which will be of lesser quality, than your original footage.
