So recently I’ve noticed my GL2 images just to be to bright. I’ve turned on the zebras set them to 100 IRE and now shen i shoot with the zebras just disappearing, the sky is perfect, but the foreground is dark. I switch back to auto and then the sky gets blown out and the foreground almost looks to bright. Any insight? Should I just try to avoid the sky in most of my shots to avoid the imbalance in lighting
The sky is always brighter than everything else. That’s just how it is. Here’s what you have to do:
Expose your subject properly and try to leave out as much of the sky as possible
or
Expose the sky properly and shine light onto your subjects.
