Getting a shoulder mount camera level on shoulder?

Hey all, another question from me!!

When I was testing out the MC2000 I noticed getting the camera level on my shoulder was a bit of a task, it would always slip from the position and not be level. When I put the camera on a flat table and checked, it did seem that the camera was recording slightly off level, but I don’t see how this would have had a major effect when on shoulder. Is this something people experience with a shoulder mount? Or is it possible I had a faulty model….
