I want to be able to play small clips of the videos I make on my web site! You know, to be able to upload a clip, then like that clip to a still image, so it will play the clip? Any suggestions?

I noticed that all those free services listed in http://www.free-webhosts.com have established a file size limit of 1 or 2 Megs (3 Megs at most, for CeleronDude’s hosting), have limited capacity account (like 25 – 100 Megs) and serious bandwidth limitations, plus they automatically delete your files after a while. So they’re not much of an option, are they?

Well you get what you pay for. You can also try a place like IFilm.com or atomfilms which will put a lot of ads in and around your video but it will be a nice place to host the file.

Kingkool68, are those two services you mentioned free? What do you mean by “they put ads in and around your video”?? How can they put ads in the actual video file? Or did I just miss your point here?

Those sites usually make the viewer watch a small commercial that plays right before your movie does. Plus they have banner ads around. Check out the sites and watch some clips for yourself. In the near future google will be hosting videos for free… check this out for more info – http://www.google.com/googleblog/2005/04/google-wants-your-video.html

You can submit it to http://www.freevideoblog.com. Free, no limits but you’ll see a short ad before hand.

The videos are streamed using Windows Media Player embedded in the page and you’ll be given a thumbnail link.

Unlike atomfilms and ifilm your video is online within minutes.
