I’ve been using Windows Live Movie Maker with Windows 7. I can do some simple tasks with it, but not others as they are both new to me and I’m a low-tech user.
My camcorder is a Canon Vixia HV40.
Can anyone recommend a free video editing software that will automatically separate clips rather than run them altogether?
If you would like to explore the world of free I would recommend the Linux Operating system and OpenShot. The operating system is free, does not require Microsoft or Apple and the software from OpenShot is free as well.
Also, you might want to consider Audacity as well for your audio production.
