I have recorded a HD video on my Canon HD camera in 1080i at 30p. I want to bring this video into Final Cut Express.
In the “Easy Setup” pulldown I have Format selected as “HD”.
I then have 2 options (but am unsure which to choose) to select.
1) HDV – Apple Intermediate Code 1080i60.
2) HDV – Apple Intermediate Code 720p30.
Can anyone please tell me which one of the 2 sellections is most appropriate…???
Thanks.
Neither of those are right. 1080i60 is still 30fps, but it’s interlace, so it’s 60 fields. You said you shot 30 progressive frames, so you may have to do a custom set up. I’m not sure if you can do that in FCE or not.
Thanks for your help.
