Well I picked up a canon hv10 for a pretty good price from a friend, but its lack of audio support or expansion is leaving me with a bit of a problem. I know there are various options and such but I’m looking for something that can match the quality of the camera’s picture at the lowest possible price. I’ve been looking at things like the M-audio MobilePre USB that allows for 2 xlr inputs and one stereo mic input, and I can get it locally for around $60. Already having a laptop that I could pretty easily carry around to shoots for ameteur films and stuff, this keeps things portable and leaves me with only mics to purchase, but what I was wondering is if there are better options in either the quality or price departments
