Burned vhs onto dvd+r using Sanyo dvdrw500.
Want to duplicate and or edit dvd
Dvd plays ok using Dell computer-sonic software
When I try to open dvd in Roxio Video Wave Movie Creator to edit, get message that “VIDEO_RM.DAT IS AN UNSUPPORTED FILE”
Tried DVDShrink to open same dvd VIDEO_RM and got message “Invalid DVD navigation structure”.
Advice is very much desired.
Thanks
Go to http://digital-digest.com/, access the Digital Video Forums, and then type in your error message; I got 3 pages of hits. You should also check out their DVD Shrink forum.
You also mentioned editing a DVD. Simply put, you need to do all your editing on the .AVI file before rendering. MPEG2 is a compressed format and re-rendering degrades the video quality.
