Recomodations please for digital recorders.
Pros and cons.
Thanks
IMO you can’t do better than this for the price (street price around $400):

Avoid the cheap “Voice Recorders”. They are not time accurate and will be out of sync with your video in just a few minutes.
The M-Audio digital recorder looks great on paper, but I can’t afford one right now.
I also have a couple of Sony MD recorders that sound pretty darned good with a decent external microphone. Since they are music recorders, they are time accurate.
If I need more than 1.5 hours of continuous recording, I have a couple of iRiver MP3 recorders (One each Model 780 and 790). Their UI sucks big time, but with an external microphone, they also record pretty decent sound. They are typically out of sync by two frames in two hours.

Have any of you tried using the Belkin iPod Microphone Adapter? Might that be a viable recorder???
