Commercial success!

A friend’s son graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a degree in film directing, moved to LA to break into the ‘business’. He works two jobs (delivering groceries and tour guide at Universal Studios. He entered a commercial in the Tribecca Film Festival, fourth place finish. He created, filmed and directed. The release for the festival allows Chevy free reign to use the idea, reshooting, etc. He was recently informed that Chevy wants to use his commercial ‘as is’. Here is a link to view his entry:

that was nice. It’s a shame so many quizi ad agencies thrive on free labor but it’s great experience for him. He’ll outgrow doing it for nada soon enough…

Just an update, his commercial has aired and they have lots more airings scheduled. Hopefully he will make some money on this but at least he has something for his resume. Thanks for taking the time to view his video.
