I am using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 with Encore DVD and also have Elements 1.0. Canon XL1 with firewire transfer. Recorded with 16bit audio.
My first few attempts to produce the final DVD have resulted in what appeared to be fine in the preview. But, when the DVD is played back – the audio progressively looses sink with the video.
This production is a church service of about 75 minutes avi. with only 3 cuts/transitions. I have been told, I may need to capture…stop…capture until done. This was because of suspected frame drops…but saw in another thread that this doesn’t occur.
I wonder if it has something to do with transfer rate or another setup choice. Is this a common problem?
i think that that would be caused by dropped frames when you capture the video.
