i am trying to edit vhs taped using dazzle dvc80 and hp 2.16ghz, 448 ram, 80 & 120 gb hd. i have tried almost every editing program, ie pinnacle studio 8 & 9, ulead video editor, etc. i always have an out of sync problem. this occurs even when i try to use short length clips. even if i start and stop the taping when trying to capture. i don’t know what to do. will i ever be able to edit a clean clip that’s in sync???

Dazzle is a USB device. You need to be using firewire connection.
The USB is too slow and you will not get a quality transfer to start with.
Look at http://www.canopus.com
I use the ADVC100 – after replacing Dazzle with this I am 1000% happier. You may want to go with one of the higher end products. Ask sales for help if you are not sure.
I now try to buy Canopus products when ever I can
