Has anyone noticed that sony is skimping on audio ports on their lower end cameras. For example Cannon has A $250 DVD recording camera that has a 3.5mm audio port. This has prevented me from buying sonys I’m sory to say.
I ment to add that sony has nothing in that price range with a mic.
I have an old HandyCam HC40 that has a mic input (mini plug) – It also works with their (Sony’s) hot shoe mic.
My newer HDR-SR11 also has a mini mic input.
If I need higher end mics, I could always go to BeachTek and get their XLR to mini box.
