If you have a video business I’m curious to know what you guys use as your title. Do you go by Owner, Videographer, Video Producer, etc?

It really depends on what you do exactly. If you are a small business and you basically do it all yourself you’d probably put Executive Producer.

For example my business card says that I am a Production Manager, however I do editing, project planning, dvd authoring, shooting, etc..

bmxvideoman: Let me know if you ever need any help. I am in Florida, and I teach at a film school in Orlando, and my students are always looking for internships. I would send you the really really good students if you ever needed anyone for projects.

Also, I produce some of my own work, let me know if you ever need models or photography. http://www.bellacine.com and http://www.alostcookie.com

And to answer push-play’s question. I have always called myself a producer and just take care of what needed to be taken care of to get the work done. I do hire people who call themselves Cam Ops though. If that helps.

I think it really depends on the particular job i am doing.

For some jobs i refer to myself as an editor but most i just say i ama video producer. Or that i have a degree in video production.
