      Hey all,

Anyone use an alternative to the countryman mic? They are pricey, and I’ll get one if needed, but wanted to see if anyone used another brand that was comparable?

      Here’s pages of alternatives http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?atclk=Price_%240+to+%24249.99&ci=8616&N=4290441607+4293918168

I’d take a look at these, which are all priced under $250, then call the 800 number at B&H and see which ones they recommend. They’re extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Hi Shaun. What I found that sound in the same quality range as the countryman I have, and is physically pretty close, are the OST mics. And they cost half the price. Their support is pretty good too.
