I am using adobe premiere 6.0 and most of my files are in MPEG format. My question is what program should i use to convert the files into a format i can import into adobe premiere? Or is there a way to import MPEG files into premiere?
You can purchase QuickTime Pro which will allow you to open MPEG1 files and then compress them to QuickTime. Use the MJPEG-A, MJPEG-B or PhotoJPEG codec on your QuickTime Movie. Then you will be able to import those QuickTime movies into Adobe Premiere.
So i will be able to open an MPEG video and convert it to the appropriate video type? Just want to make sure before i purchase it. Any other suggestions?
Will it convert .MOV files into .MPEG?
Thanks,
Will
No the other way around. It will convert your MPEG1 files into .mov files. You will be able to then import the QuickTime movies (.mov) into Adobe Premiere.
