adobe elements and a panasonic dv cam WT%^&$#@@@@@!$%

I have a major prob. with my editing software (even moviemaker)dv camcorder NOT RECOGNIZED?>>????? all trouble shooting meets par! I have adobe premiere elements 7 I can’t get the proper drivers(if thats the prob) from panasonic for my camcorder. I run Vista on all lap tops and just can’t figure this deal out! sooooooo is this a driver prob from my cams or vista being it’s best??? I just need need to get some vids produced can U help!!!!!
