Readers just wanna have Fun… in HiDef
If you think you missed out on all the fun at this year’s Cruise with Videomaker, you can still join us on land at Videomaker‘s West Coast Expo down in sunny Southern California. We’re back in Burbank this year, and the fun runs March 8 — 11. We have new seminars on Building Your Editing System, Documentary Video Production, Editing Techniques II, Mixing Sound Live, Vidcasting 101, Producing Music Videos and Producing Videos for Schools, as well as many of our tried and true seminars from the past.
Our keynote speaker, Jeremy Allaire of Brightcove, will be talking about distribution of high quality video over the Internet and we have a new panel topic on vidcasting. The Pre-Expo Conference includes a panel discussion on HDV production, and we will be holding the popular Editor’s Q&A, Instant Stories Contest and Videomaker Night at the Movies. Leave the cold behind and join us in sunny Burbank, California this March. Check our website for more details.
Where were YOU in ’86?
Happy Birthday to Videomaker! Matt York began to realize his vision of "democratizing video and empowering video producers" 20 years ago and Videomaker Magazine was born. This June we will publish our 20th anniversary issue and we’re asking for your help to make it special. Please drop us a line or two of that magic moment when you picked up your first camcorder, or when you first discovered Videomaker magazine and especially what it’s done for you.
When Videomaker first went to press, many of our articles dealt with DIY projects, and ways you could make studio-style equipment on a shoe-string budget. Perhaps you have a vintage photo of you reading an old Videomaker edition or some of that rather funky equipment from long ago.
We know that over the years, Videomaker has influenced some of America’s biggest and well known video producers, some great adventurers, as well as young people, and the hobbyist looking for a creative way to share family memories, and we would love to hear from you. Write us at: email@example.com
Cruisin’ with Videomaker
Sorry I missed your Halloween party, but I was cruising around the Caribbean with twenty other members of the Videomaker community. Our week-long escape found us rolling tape in Honduras, Belize, Mexico and Grand Cayman, followed by editing into the wee hours of the morning on the 952 foot Carnival Valor.
