Adobe released today its video app: Premiere Rush CC, a single cross-platform app that combines core features of Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition.
Premiere Rush is Adobe’s first all-in-one, cross-device video editing app. What this means is it’s an application that allows you to work on your projects through multiple devices. So if you start a Rush project on your Mac, you can switch over to your iOS phone and continue to edit the same file. Rush can do this because it automatically syncs all of your projects and edits to the cloud.
In the program, you can edit using customizable motion graphics templates, color and Adobe Sensei-powered Auto-Ducking — each feature being powered by Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition. Plus, Rush integrates capture, intuitive editing, simplified color, audio, motion graphics and publishing to social media like YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
What’s coming to Rush CC?
Rush was revealed at this year’s VidCon back in June and was released as a Beta for Mac, Windows and iOS. Since then Adobe said it’s been working directly with a small group of beta testers.
Here is what Adobe’s adding to program after hearing the beta testers’ feedback:
- Android support: Don’t worry Android users. An Android version of Rush is coming. However, it won’t be available until 2019.
- Speed controls: One of the most requested feature during the Beta test was the ability to speed up and slow down videos. Adobe said its working on bring this feature to the program, citing “Speed controls are at the top of our feature list.”
- Publishing videos to multiple platforms: It’s a pain having to create different versions of your videos so they’ll fit with the different social media platforms’ requirements. So Adobe’s included the ability to publish to multiple platforms in Rush’s launch. However, Adobe said its’ still working on way to make publishing to different platforms easier.
- Performance: Adobe’s also working to remove “any and all” friction in your editing workflow.
