  All you that talk about "CS6" or Premiere, listen up. Adobe announced that they will not continue to develop their Creative Suite. No CS7, no giant package of production software. However Adobe would only be making enemies if we stopped now, their solution is Adobe Creative Cloud, established in 2012. Adobe MAX is the creativity conference taking place May 4-8, 2013 in Los Angeles and the center of this massive initiative.

If you ever have the chance, visit Northern California's coast and see the redwoods, especially the northern-most areas where portions of forest were filmed as the Endor moon from Return of the Jedi. Aside from making great backdrops, let's focus on wood products for video.

  As a long time After Effects user, I still find myself discovering new features nearly every day. Many times I'll be watching some type of training video, and while the main concept of the video is the primary reason for watching, I'm always looking out for ways to speed up my editing process. I was recently watching a great tutorial on Borix FX, and while I have seen the search field at the top of my timeline window just sitting there, awaiting my swift keyboard strokes, I more or less ignored it. I just assumed it was there to find a long lost layer buried farther down the timeline than I was willing to scroll.
