Camera Updates With Canon’s VIXIA Series and the CS100

Our team at CES discovered three Canon cameras, VIXIA HF R62, VIXIA HF R60, and VIXIA HF R600, that represent updates to the well-known VIXIA line. We’’ll start with the differences, the VIXIA HF R600 is the lowest costed camera and available in white or the standard electronic black. The VIXIA HF R62 at the top of this line has 32GB internal memory, and the VIXIA HF R60 has 8GB. The VIXIA HF R62 and VIXIA HF R60 also have Wi-Fi and NFC for connectivity.

Now for the basis of the VIXIA HF R62, VIXIA HF R60, and VIXIA HF R600. Each one gets 1920×1080 video with a CMOS sensor, SD/SDHC/SDXC card slots, DIGIC DV 4 Image Processor, 3-inch touch panel LCD, SuperRange Optical Image Stabilization, and a battery that allows for 120 minutes of shooting time. The high bitrate video these VIXIAs are capable of can come in MP4 or AVCHD format.

To reflect the features, the price of the VIXIA HF R62 is $449.99, VIXIA HF R60 is $399.99, and VIXIA HF R600 is $299.99, the greatest difference being Wi-Fi and storage space.
