If you ask any given extreme sports athlete how they got their start, the usual story is that they started filming with friends and wanted to land some cool tricks on camera. Like we've said before, action fuels film and film fuels action.
60fps, light leaks, and a hot track will take you a long way. Those attributes definitely make for an excellent extreme sports video. We're stoked to see kids getting their hands on a camera and trying new things.

We figured we'd post our longest Video of the Day yet on a Friday, so you have some time over the weekend to watch it a few times.
What we have here is an extremely well done stop motion video about army men. Everything from the green blood splatter to the sound effects is phenomenal. It's every boy's dream.

This is a cool little experiment done by Morgan Lott.
From the outside looking in, this kid has some pleasantly epic dreams.

Babies, mullets, cut off flannels, and presents wrapped in KFC buckets. Classic.
You don't have to make the same boring video of people opening presents year after year. This video was chosen because most just film holiday events for the sake of filming. This on the other hand, Has the creative expression your friends and family deserve. Creating a video that shows love, humor, and comradery for your friends and family to share is a gift in itself.

The Pocket Jib Traveler is Kessler’s newest and most compact pocket jib designed for shooters that require a portable jib solution. The Pocket Jib Traveler is only 27 inches in length when collapsed making it completely self contained and, unlike other similar sized jibs, it does not need to be taken apart for travel. When fully extended it has a circular travel of 72 inches (6 feet), good enough to get that slick camera shot you been dreaming.

Here's a new way of creating brand awareness, shoot an indie video. This short does a great job of showcasing the clothing in a natural environment with practical usage, without all the being "in your face" like your typical advertisement. More and more small clothing companies are doing in-house photo/video spotlights that more accurately represent who they are and what they offer, and we like it.

The satisfaction you get from seeing your project go from an idea in your head to a final physical product is completely unique. There is no greater accomplishment than seeing something through to the end. A moment like that is worthy of being documented. If not for some friends and family to see, then for you to have forever.
There over 15 exabytes on YouTube, and not all of them are cat videos. Keep making memiors people.
Thanks Matt Rose for the vid.
