As Old Man Winter lowers his cold frosty mantle upon the earth, creating dark chilly nights and crisp wintry days, many video producers think of hanging up their gear until Spring returns. But from shots exploiting winter's lovely light reflection to the striking colors of the magic hour, the dead of winter can be an enlightening time to shoot creative scenes of beauty, peace or desolation.

Hi,
I have a wedding videography company in Houston TX, that is growing quickly. I work all the weddings and I hire freelance videographers to help me. However, I film cinematic with DSLR and HD cameras. most of the videographers I hire are ok and with the HD cameras but almost none have the eye for the cinematic shots with the DSRL. Is there a website where I can find videogrpahers with this kind ofexperience?
Best regards.
I'm looking to start up a new media production business and am looking for freelance professionals to help with all levels of production. To be a bit more specific, I'm looking to:
1) Find camera(wo)men, audio engineers, editors
2) Get rates and look at portfolios
Basically, I want a rolodex of professionals I can call on, if I need to scale, or for project redundancy. That said, are there any professional registries anyone would recommend looking at? If not, any other suggestions?
Cheers,
Art
