Videoblocks Marketplace Lets Creators Keep 100% of Their Clips' Profits

VideoBlocks has a new style of marketplace, and there are great reasons for you to be on both sides of the counter. When you go looking for stock media, you’ll either pay for it or get it for free. When you contribute stock footage to a host website, you either get paid for it or you don’t. Either way, VideoBlocks has a marketplace that eases the cost for contributors and consumers.

Hey everyone! My name is Chas Rogers,

I just wanted to extend an invitation for anyone who is interested in the stock footage industry to tune in this Friday. Shutterstock is hosting a livestream conversation with stock footage producer Robb Crocker, CEO of Uberstock, at the Shutterstock headquarters in New York City. If anyone is on the east coast and would like to see the event in person, tickets are free and so is the beer and wine! However seating is limited, so if you are interested just click this link and reserve your spot.

I'm a grad student and I'm making a video project for my class on the peace process in Colombia.  I am overwhelmed by the amount of footage available at places like footage.net, and I'm not really sure where to start.  No one lists the prices, so I don't know what to expect when emailing all of these folks.  Is there one news station that is cheaper than the other when getting the rights?  I'm just putting this together for educational purposes, and I really feel like I should be able to grab anything and claim fair use.  If I'm not going to be making money off it I don't see why these news

We just launched a site called Videezy.comthat is a place where you guys can download or share free HD stock clips for your projects. Right now it's still a little rough around the edges, but I hope you'll find it useful! Please check it out and let me know if you have any suggestions or ways we can improve.

Thanks!
