Convergent Design’s Odyssey7Q and 7Q+ now include dual-stream functionality. Two SDI signals can be viewed at the same time, or a single SDI and one HDMI, with either input selectable for recording. This dual-stream HD monitoring ability comes courtesy of a firmware update, which also adds additional functionality to the monitor-recorders.
AJA has announced the Ki Pro Ultra Recorder and Player. It has the capability to record Apple ProRes digital video at five quality levels including ProRes 444, with resolutions of up to 4096 x 2160 (4K) at 60 fps.
ARRI’s new ALEXA SXT (Super Xtended Technology) cameras feature two 4K in-camera recording capabilities: UHD ProRes (3840 x 2160) for UHD TV imaging and Cine ProRes (4096 x 2637) for supporting the digital cinema specification
