olloclip Studio is a mobile photography system

Those bemoaning the lack of accessories for a mobile phone’s camera will find solace when the olloclip Studio comes out in September, providing they have an iPhone 6/6 Plus. By providing support for the use of standard accessories, the Studio’s rig building capabilities facilitate a quick assembly so that no time is lost for the photographer/videographer who needs to focus on getting the shot.

The Stuido system includes a case that protects the iPhone 6/6 Plus during day-to-day use and, through an integrated central rail-mount solution, also enables a series of support add-ons, such as olloclip's line of mobile lenses, to be quickly put into position for use. One of these, for example, is a kick-stand that allows for viewing video or reading text.

Still and video shooting benefits from the stability brought about by the intuitive 2-finger grip attachment: it can be reoriented to change the iPhone’s view from vertical to horizontal. Should greater stability be needed, there are two 1/4-20 clips that provide for secure attachment to tripods, grips or handles — also switching between landscape and portraiture orientations and providing the means for a hands-free group shot or selfie.

Accessories such as microphones and LED lights can be attached to the Studio through the addition of two cold-shoe adapters. These adapters offset the center of gravity of the accessory that has been attached, with their positioning now directly in line with the phone’s center-line. This aids in maintaining balance when multiple accessories are in use.  Additionally, the present line of olloclip lenses (the 4-in-1 Fisheye/Wide angle/10X and 15X Macro and Active Lens 2X telephoto and wide ultra wide) can all be used.

The olloclip Studio will feature 3 color combinations (still to be decided), and the estimated retail will be $89.99.
